ANNOUNCE PLANS FOR BOXING TOURNAMENT

Annual Contest to be Held March 21 at Hemenway Gymnasium-To Decide University Championships in Six Classes

Plans are now nearly completed for the annual University boxing tournament, it was announced last night. The meet, in which the University championships in the various weights will be decided, will take place in Hemenway Gymnasium on Wednesday, March the men who wish to take part in the tournament may sign up, will be posted at Leavitt and Peirce's Hemenway Gymnasium and the H. A. A.

In the tournament, which will resemble the one held last year, there will be six classes. These are the heavyweight, 158-pound, 145-pound, 135-pound, 125-pound, and 115-pound divisions. The bouts will consist of three 2-minute rounds each. In case of a disagreement on the part of the judges, who will be appointed by the Massachusetts State Boxing Commission, the contests will be decided by an extra '3-minute round each. It has been decided that all seconds must be members of the University.

Coach Shevlin will be at Hemenway Gymnasium every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoon from 2 until 5 o'clock, when regular practice is held. In addition to coaching men for the meet, he will have charge of the details of the tournament.
