FEWER RACES FEATURE OF 1923 YALE CREW SCHEDULE

NEW HAVEN, Conn., Jan. 16, 1923.

The schedule for the Yale University and Freshman crews for the coming year comprising a shorter season than heretofore was announced tonight by the University Boat Club. May 5 is the date set for the opening race, a triangular regatta between Columbia, Pennsylvania and Yale. A second triangular regatta will take place at Ithaca on May 19, in which Cornell and Princeton will be the other participants.

On May 19 at Cambridge a triangular regatta will be held on the Charles between the 150-pound crews from the University and Yale over the Henley distance, and between the Championship class crews of Yale and Harvard. The University and 'Yale Freshman 150-pound crews will race at Derby on May 30th over a Henley distance.

June 22 is the date set for the annual University-Yale Classic at New London. The University, Junior and Freshman eights of both universities will row at this time.
