Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
Marked by some very exciting matches, the third round of the college tournament was finished yesterday afternoon. The greatest, surprise of the day was the excellent playing of P. R. Pease '26, who forced E. M. Hinkle '23, number two on the University team to a close three-game match, losing 10-15, 15-7, 15-8. Pease had a great many good shots and showed rare judgment. The meeting between, E. K. Davis '24 and F. I. Carpenter '24 was a close and exciting struggle throughout, the latter finally pulling through 15-10, 10-15, 15-9.
E. M. Upjohn '24 showed the results of his continuous match play in his triumph over G. O. Debevoise '26 18-17, 15-13, who last fall had defeated Carpenter in straight games. Both games were set, but Upjohn's steadiness brought him through to victory. W. P. Dixon '25 and J. H. Finley Jr. '25 had no trouble in defeating H. I. Pratt '26 and J. A. Halstead '26 15-3, 15-1 and 15-9, 15-10 respectively. The two other players to reach the fourth round were R. C. Bostwick '23, G. M. Laimbeer '26 and J. J. Glessner '25.
Mass Championship Starts
With a record number of entries from the University, the Massachusetts State Squash Racquets Championship opened yesterday at the Harvard Club courts in Boston, A copy of the draw is posted at the University Squash Racquets Building. The preliminary and first rounds must be finished by tonight and men in the tournament should find out who they play and arrange a time on the telephone. Any match in the first three rounds may be played off in a courts convenient to the players, but the last three must be played in the Harvard Club courts.
