Definite announcement was made yesterday by those in charge of work for the 1922-23. Register, that this year's volume would be on sale and ready for delivery on November 15. Subscriptions are being solicited with the understanding that if the Register is at all behind schedule, a refund will be made.
The managers of the Register have decided to reduce the price this year from $3 to $2 and at the same time if possible to better the high standard set by last year's volume. One of the features that has been particularly mentioned as an instance of hoped-for improvement is the soft leather cover, which the editors intend to use for the first time this year.
The usual list of college clubs and activities will be included in this year's volume and in addition directories according to localities and dormitories will be inserted. In the former directory all the students from one city or town will be grouped together, while in the latter the suites in the dormitories will be tabulated with the names of their occupants. One of the novelties this year will be a chart of the club and activity hat bands.
The Register is calling a competition for editorial writers from the Freshman and Sophomore classes to start tomorrow evening at 7 o'clock with a meeting in Hollis 27. Successful candidates will be taken on to the board about the time the Register appears.
