FIVE ELECTED TO PHI BETA KAPPA IN FIRST OF SPRING ELECTIONS

141ST ANNIVERSARY WILL BE CELEBRATED

The University Chapter of the Phi Beta Kappa Society has chosen the following five Seniors for membership in its first spring election: Edwin Francis Carpenter of Melrose; Arthur Ravenel Duane of Boston; Warren Francis Manning of Portiand, Me.; Charles Francis Ramseyer of Jamaica Plain, N. Y.; and Arthur Milton Young of Philadelphia, Pa.

These, together with five additional men who will be elected before June 19, are to be guests of the Society at a dinner will be part of the celebration to be held in honor of the one hundred and forty-first anniversary of the Society.

The anniversary meeting, scheduled for Monday, June 19, will open with a business session at 10 o'clock in the morning at Emerson D. The literary exercises will take place in Sanders Theatre at 11.30 o'clock and will be followed by the dinner the Union at 1.
