The new Harvard Song Book, which is already in the hands of the engraver, will be placed on sale about June 1 according to the announcement from the office of the University Glee Club. It is hoped to have some advance copies ready in time for the Freshman Jubilee.
The new collection, which the Glee Club is publishing at cost, will contain all the well-known football songs, several new ones, and some that have not hitherto been printed. Many older favorites such as the Stein Song, Winter Song, and Here's a Health to King Charles, have been revived. The typical college songs have been retained and in addition quite a few less well-known melodies have been added. The music has been set in one of three ways: as a piano arrangement carrying the melody; as a quartet for men's voices; or as a quartet for mixed voices.
Those who wish to have copies sent to friends may send their orders now to the Glee Club Office in the Music Building and copies will be forwarded, postage paid, as soon as the book is published. All orders, however, must be accompanied by a remittance of one dollar.
