Yale Defeats Amherst 3-1

NEW HAVEN, CONN., May 3.--The Yale team, playing errorless ball throughout the game, defeated the Amherst nine 3 to 1 this afternoon on the Yale diamond. Bunched hits by the Blue team in the fourth and sixth innings were responsible for the victory.

Peterson, pitching for Yale, allowed only five hits, while the Blue aggregation knocked out four hits off Leete of Amherst, Eddy getting a triple and a single.
