The University second baseball team won easily from the St. John's Preparatory School nine yesterday afternoon to the tune of 16-3 in a seven inning game marked by a brace of double plays and tripple hits.

The Crimson team played errorless ball, the schoolboys' runs coming all in the third inning as a result of three passes and a triple. Brown, who pitched the first five innings, struck out six men and allowed but two singles and a triple although he passed three and gave another batter first when the latter was hit by a pitched ball.

The second team scored nine runs in the fifth. Five men on two passes and three hits came home before the first out, and three runs followed before the visitors finally retired the side. Connolly, who pitched for the visitors, was knocked freely for 15 hits, Ross getting four singles while Worthington clouted out a triple and Bullard a double.
