ORGANIZE MASONIC LODGE

Instituted at the University for the First Time-Officers Headed by Guy H. Holliday '89

A new Masonic Lodge, known as "The Harvard Lodge" has been instituted at the Cambridge Masonic Temple. The organization comes as the result of the annual meeting of the Harvard Masonic Club last month at which Mr. George B. Colesworthy '01, District Deputy Grand Master for the Second Masonic District, who was the special guest of the evening, brought the question of the institution of a Harvard lodge to the attention of the Club. Following the discussion a committee was appointed to take the necessary steps.

Candidates for degrees in this Lodge must be men connected with University as officers, Instructors, students, or employees. The officers of the new organization were elected as follows: Guy H. Holliday '89, W. M.; M. G. Roberts '23, S. W.; Jess H. Jackson, J. W.; Edwin A. Shaw, treasurer; J. E. Bagley Sp., secretary; Professor Kirsopp Lake, chaplain; W. A. Hosmer '18, instruction marshal; D. B. Baker '08, S. D.; Dr. F. A. Hamilton '06, J. D.; E. S. Russell '19, S. S.; A. A. Schaefer '06, J. S.; D. W. Wainhouse '24, I. S.; C. A. Young, organist; A. H. Conant, tyler.
