It was announced yesterday that the University fencing team would meet the championship Cuban team which is now tourling this country at the Homonway Gymnasium Friday at 2.30 o'clock. This will be the first international fencing meet ever held at the University.
The Cubans are meeting the prominent teams in this country, fencing foil teams at Washington and New York, duellings swords at Boston and New York, and sabres at Philadelphia and New York. Harvard, however, is the only college team they will meet. Several of the Cuban team have taken part in the Olympic games at Antwerp, and Manuel D. Diaz '89, a former University and B. A. A. fencer, will be in their line-up. The University team will be announced later.
