TWENTY-THREE SCHOOLS WILL COMPETE IN MEET

To be Held at 1.30 o'clock Today in Stadium-Athletic Association Will Give Luncheon at 12 and Dinner at 6 for Visiting Teams

Twenty-three schools will compete in the thirty-seventh annual Harvard Interscholastic track meet which will be held at 1.30 o'clock this afternoon in the Stadium. The Athletic Association will give a luncheon at 12 o'clock in Smith Halls and a dinner at 6 in the Varsity Club for the visiting schoolboys, and inasmuch as the Andover Exeter, and Worcester clubs are cooperating with the Undergraduate Committee for welcoming visiting teams in an attempt to look out for the various school delegations, the undergraduate alumni of these three schools have been asked to attend both the luncheon and dinner.

At the dinner the winning school will receive the shield given by the Athletic Association as well as the cup presented by the undergraduate in 1910. The shield is a permanent possession but the cup goes to the new winner each year. Although four places will count in the scoring, medals will be given after the dinner, only to first, second, and third place winners.

Exeter is the popular favorite today and her well-balanced team is expected to net a large total from the 14 events Andover and Worcester are looked upon as the most likely contestants for second place, and it is conceivable that the former may duplicate last year's fear or unexpectedly gaining premier honors from Exeter. The half-mile with Captain Allen of Andover, Tibbetts of Worcester, and O'Neil of Exeter should be one of the best events, while Capisin Lundell of Exeter and Avery of Andover are sure to produce some sensafiena: running in quarter mile and bundle races respectively.
