Three singles netting as many runs in the eighth inning brought the University second nine a 6 to 4 victory over Lowell Textile yesterday afternoon on Soldiers Field.
Brown went the entire nine innings on the mound for the Crimson team and held the visitors hitless for four innings, after which they gathered five singles Beavans, the Lowell Textile center fielder, drove out a home run which brought in two men in the eighth.
