The University second tennis team went down in defeat before Oakley Country Club at the latter's courts at Waverly by a score of 6 to 2 Saturday. Displaying unexpected strength the club team allowed the Crimson net-men only tow victories in the singles and made a clean sweep of the doubles matches.
Kleberg was the individual star for the Crimson and with the exception of Du Bois was the only man to win his match. Playing number two against Goodrich of Oakley, he won his first et 9-7 after a hard battle, and clinched, the match by winning the second set 6-2. Du Bois made an uphill fight of his match with Chase and won 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.
