Once a year at least--when the Phillips Brooks House report is published--the University learns what invaluable service that organization renders both to the University and the community. From the reports of the president and the chairmen of the various committees the extent and success of its operations can best be judged. But from two barometers of undergraduate interest a fair estimate can also be made; the number of men in social service work totals three hundred and thirty-two; and the contributions to the treasury reach over four thousand dollars. The latter, incidentally, is a record collection for the Phillips Brooks House in a single drive. An organization sensitive to the needs of the men in the University, and constructive in its activities for society in general, merits beyond question the support and sympathy which have always been accorded to "P. B. H."
