GUN CLUB SEASON TO OPEN

Men Interested May Report at Riverside Traps Today--Transportation Will be Furnished Twice a Week

The Gun Club will officially open its spring season at 12.10 o'clock today when automobiles will leave Claverly to take all men who are interested in trap-shooting to the Boston Athletic Association traps at Riverside. This is the first of a series of practice shoots to be held on Thursday of each week at Riverside, and on Fridays at the traps of the Montclair Gun Club. The Thursday practice is an innovation adopted to enable those men whose afternoons are occupied with athletic practice, to engage in shooting practice as well. The guns used at these practices will be furnished by the club while automobiles will leave from in front of Claverly at 12.10 o'clock on Thursdays and at 2.30 o'clock on Fridays to afford transportation for all members of the University who wish to shoot.

Two cups will be awarded on a basis of the work in these practice shoots. The season handicap cup will be awarded to the winner of the largest number of weekly shoots with handicaps averaged in, while the scratch cup will be awarded also at the end of the spring season to the man who has won the greatest number of shoots on an even basis. In addition to determining the winners of these cups, the shooting at the weekly practices will determine the six men who will represent the University at the Intercollegiate meet at Chappaqua, New York, on May 27.

All members of the University interested who have not already done so, are asked by the management to send their names and desired times for practice to J. B. Paine Jr' '23, 52 Mount Auburn street, as soon as possible.
