UNIVERSITY OF MAINE WILL BE OPPONENTS OF CRIMSON TODAY AT 4

VISITORS HAVE VETERAN PITCHER TO START GAME

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University of Maine nine will invade Soldiers Field this afternoon at 4 o'clock to face the University team for the first time in six years.

Coach Slattery will start either Shugrue or Gherke on the mound against today's visitors. Otherwise the line-up will remain unchanged from that of the Colby game.

The Maine team defeated Colby 4-2 last week without the help of Jewett, the veteran pitcher, who won a reputation for speed and steadiness last season in the Pine Tree State. He will start in the box today and may give the Crimson batters some trouble.
