Essays for the Richard Sears prize must reach Professor W. Z. Ripley at the Department of Economics before noon today.

Mr. Richard Sears '91 has offered $100 as a first prize and $25 as a second prize for meritorious work in the Division of History, Government, and Economics. The subject chosen for this year's essays is, "Are Trade Unions a Benefit or Detriment at the Present Time to Labor?" There is no definite limit, but it is expected that the substance of the dissertation may be delivered in 20 minutes.
