Football and Hockey Man Elected Captain of Baseball Team

John William Hammond, of West Roxbury, was elected captain of the 1925 baseball team yesterday by the nine men who took part in the game with the United States Submarine Base.

Hammond prepared for Harvard at Roxbury Latin School where he starred in football, baseball, and hockey. He played in the backfield on the Freshman eleven this fall, was a defense man on the hockey team, and is vice-president of the class.
