Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
About 150 men competed in the thirty-seventh annual winter carnival at Soldiers Field yesterday afternoon. The meet was a success not only in view of the exceptionally large entry, but also because the results were, on the whole, highly satisfactory. By means of the handicaps, many inexperienced men were able to place, although the regular members of the squad won the majority of races.
The interest settied chiefly in the three relay races. In the Publication Relay, the CRIMSON team, composed of J. C. White '24, Robert Worthington '23, Corliss Lamont '24, and T. W. Norris '24, retained the championship when it won easily from its two competitors, the Advocate and the Lampoon, who finished in the order named. Although out-distanced at the start, the news men refused to be discouraged, and after a fine exhibition of ability came in first at the tape.
Football Managers Win
In the managers' relay, football, defeated hockey with baseball, track, and crew trailing in that order. Although the winners had only a three-man team, so that C. W. Baker '22 had to run in first and last places, they were able to defeat their nearest opponents by several yards due largely to the jostling which H. T. Mason '25 of the crew team, received at the hands of Raoul Pantaleoni '24, running in third place for the baseball managers.
Each class was represented by a seven-man team in the interclass relay. As in the other relays the results were marred by false starts and failure to abide by the rules. Although J. W. Burke '23, lead-off man for the Juniors, beat the starting gun by several yards the Seniors were in the lead after four men had raced, and kept this until the finish. The Sophomores, Juniors, and Freshmen finished in the order named.
H. R. Davis '23 was the highest individual scorer with a total of ten points to his credit. He won the pole vault from scratch with a vault of 11 feet, ten inches and the shot-put with 39 feet, 11 inches, including his handicap of three feet, six inches.
