The University debating team has taken the longest trip in its history to meet the Ohio Wesleyan speakers at Delaware, Ohio, this evening. C. W. Phelps '22, R. S. Fanning '23, and M. P. Lichauco '23, who will be the University spokesmen, will uphold the negative of the question "Resolved: that the United States should demand full payment of the Allied debt." Because of the importance of the subject in question the H. W. Wilson Publishing Company of New York has bought the rights to publish a complete record of the debate which will be printed in book form.
Of the University debaters Phelps has had the most experience, having been on the platform for three years and having won the Pasteur medal. He will present the salient point of the argument. Fanning, too, is a Pasteur medal winner who has had two years of experience with the team, while Lichauco, though he is an unseasoned speaker, has shown marked ability in the trials.
