As Result, Coach Slattery Will Cut Ten Men on Monday

The University baseball squad has its first outdoor practice of the season yesterday afternoon on the Freshman diamond.

Coach Slattery tried out various infield combinations and held a long batting practice. The result of the workout today will determine the ten men to be cut on Monday.

The first-string line-up included Thorvald Sanchez '24, catcher, George Owen jr. '23, first base; C. C. Buell '23, second; Captain A. J. Conlon '23, shortstop; and E. C. Lincoln '23, third base. D. F. Thayer '23 and H. C. Jania '23 were both used in left field with J. S. Clark '23 in right and L. A. Hallock '22 in center field.

Various other combinations were tried, giving each man a chance to show his ability.
