Coach young Chooses Temporary First and Second Line-Ups

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The yearling baseball-squad had its first outdoor session yesterday afternoon on Soldiers Field. This was the first time that Coach young gave any definite line-up for his first team as it has been impossible to form an infield combination in the cage. Two teams played an informal five inning game, E. C. Herrmann Jr. started in the box for team A, and though he was wild at first, in the second inning he steadied down and pitched good ball.

The first Freshman nine took the field as follows: E. C. Herrmann Jr., pitcher; E. A. Straw, catcher; J. H. Kerr, first base; J. W. Hammond, second base; W. T. Heagney; third base; L. V. Mann, short-shop; R. P. Rose, left field; Clark Hodder, center field; P. W. Chase, right field.
