The competition for the second assistant track manager ship will start at 1.05 o'clock this afternoon with a meeting of all candidates at the H. A. A. All Sophomores are eligible whether they have had previous experience or not. The winner of the competition will be made second assistant manager of the University team, automatically becoming assistant manager next year and manager in the Senior year. The runner-up in the competition will be appointed second assistant manager of the cross-country team. The competition will last until the Intercollegiate meet on May 26 and 27 and before that time every candidate retained after the preliminary cuts will be given an opportunity to demonstrate his ability by being put in complete charge of an informal meet.
