There will be an informal debate at the Liberal Club this evening at 7 o'clock on the same question which will this year be the subject of the triangular debate with Yale and Princeton: "Shall the United States recognize Soviet Russia?" J. L. Swayze Jr. '25, a member of the Freshman debating team, and H. I. Maximon E.S. will uphold the affirmative while R. L. Weinberg '23 and G. L. Black '25 will argue on the negative side. Christopher Roberts 1G. will act as chairman.
After each of the four debaters has spoken for ten minutes, the floor will be thrown open for a general discussion following which a vote will be taken among those present. This is one of a regular series of bi-weekly discussions that is being held under the auspices of the Liberal Club to promote a general interest in questions of national and international importance.
