M. Guillaume Fatio, one of the foremost citizens of Switzerland, president of the great European banking institution, the Comptoir d'Escompte, and a leading authority on the League of Nations, will speak in the Faculty Room of the Union Monday night at 8 o'clock. The subject of his lecture will be the history and traditions of Geneva and the opportunities offered by the University of Geneva, especially to students of international law and politics. The lecture will be illustrated with slides.
The University of Geneva is arranging for 1922 a summer term beginning late in June and extending until the first of October, for the study of French and also of contemporaneous international affairs, and is inviting professors of international law and politics from several European universities to teach at this session. American students attending it will be in Geneva at the time of the annual meeting of the League of Nations in September. M. Fatio is visiting the University in the interest of this project.
When the Glee Club visited Geneva last year on its European trip M. Fatio was entirely responsible for the arrangements made to entertain the Club.
