Yearlings Hold Lead After First Few Minutes of Opening Half--Morrison Plays Consistent Game

Maintaining a slight lead through practically the entire game, the Freshman basketball team defeated the Andover-quintet in the Freshman Gymnasium Saturday afternoon by the close score of 30-29, thus atoning for the 30-28 defeat of the 1924 five at the hands of the schoolboy team last year.

Andover led at the beginning of the first period, but the yearling team soon went to the front and, when the whistle blew at half time, was two points ahead. In the last part of the last half the yearlings drew away from the schoolboys, but before the end of the game Andover had crept up from 30-25 to 30-29.

The Crimson's shooting from the floor was excellent, but the yearlings showed their weakness in foul shooting and passing. Morrison played a dependable game for the Freshmen.
