DRAMATIC CLUB WILL GIVE ONE-ACT PLAYS

Private Performances of "The Intruder" by Maeterlinck and Stanley Houghton's "Phipps" on March 6 and 7--Spring Production Comes After Recess

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The members of the Dramatic Club are now working on two one-act plays which will be performed in the Agassiz Theatre of Radcliffe College on the evenings of March 6 and 7. Both performances will be private and should not be confused with the regular spring presentation which will not be played until shortly after the April recess. The casts will be composed of Dramatic Club members only and the sole purpose of the plays is to give the members an opportunity to try their hand at some new branch of the dramatic art. The plays will be given for the patronesses and the members of the 47 Workshop. In addition to them only special guests of the Dramatic Club members will be admitted to the performances at the Agassiz Theatre.

The two plays that will be given are "The Intruder" by Maurice Maeterlinck and "Phipps" by Stanley Houghton.

"The Intruder", which is a symbolic tragedy, will be coached by J. M. Brown '23. The setting has been designed by D. M. Oenslager '23. The second of the two plays. "Phipps", is an English comedy that will be coached by B. K. Little '23. The setting for this has not, as yet, been done and will be determined by a competition. All members of the club who wish to take part should attend the rehearsal of "Phipps" at 4.00 this afternoon on the top floor of Phillips Brooks House.

Work for the regular spring production will begin immediately after the two performances of these plays.
