The University gym team was defeated last night in its first meet of the season by M. I. T. by the score of 36-18. Captain M. H. Bailey Jr. '23 of the Crimson was the highest scorer with nine points while Macoy of M. I. T. was a close second with eight. Captain Bailey placed in every event entered getting first place on the horizontal bar, second on the rings, and third on the parallel bars. H. B. Wood Jr. '24 was the only other Crimson entry to secure a first place, winning on the parallel bars.
