With the exception of the opening game of the season, the University football schedule has been completed, subject to the approval of the Athletic Committee. Under the rulings of the recent Harvard, Yale, Princeton athletic agreement, which stipulates that no practice may begin earlier than one week before the opening of college, the season has necessarily been curtailed to eight contests instead of the customary nine.
The opening game, to be played on October 6, has not yet been decided upon, although a definite announcement of the results of the negotiations now pending may be expected shortly.
The University will face Middlebury in its second contest, on October 12. This game has for several years been the schedule opener for the Crimson, but it was found necessary under the altered conditions to change its position.
To Oppose Holy Cross October 20
On October 20 the University will again oppose Holy Cross. This game has for some time been given the place of the hard early season game, and will fill this position again next year.
Dartmouth is again included in the schedule, following the interest aroused by the hard fought game with the Green this year. The old New England rivals brought a powerful combination to the Stadium and next season's contest may be regarded in the light of the big test game before the culminating contests with Princeton and Yale. This contest to be held on October 27, will be followed on November 3 by a game with Tufts, the first since 1919, filling the date before the Princeton game which was taken this year by the University of Florida.
The customary three closing season games with Princeton, Brown and Yale will be played on succeeding Saturdays in the order named, culminating in the final contest with Yale in the Stadium on November 24.
