DEANS SPEAK AT SMITH HALLS SMOKER HELD LAST NIGHT

Discuss Opportunities for Social and Intellectual Life at College--Singing by Members of Glee Club

Last night the first Smith Halls smokier was held in smith Halls Common Room. Deans C. N. Greenough '98, G. H. Edgell '09, and D. M. Little Jr. '18 were present and each made a short speech.

Dean Edgell discussed the intellectual opportunities of college, Dean Little pointed out the possibilities for sociability in Freshman year, while Dean Greenough discussed the attitude of the Dean's Office.

After the talks a short entertainment was furnished by members of the Glee Club, which was followed by singing led by Dr. Arthur Weight '17, leader of the Freshman Glee Club.

The chairman of the meeting, R. H Schlacht '26, announced that on Friday, December 15 at 1.10 P. M. the Smith Halls picture would be taken inside the quadrangle of the Smith Halls. The second of the smokers will be held in January, on a date to be announced later.
