Mr. Basil King, the noted novelist, will speak on "Why Writers Write and Readers Read" at a meeting of the English 28 Club in the Smith Halls Common Room at 7.30 o'clock tonight. Mr. King, whose first book, "Griselds", was published in 1900, has since that time written many widely read novels such as, "Wild Olive", "The Street Called Straight", and "The Way Home".
