There will be a convention of mathematical societies held at Cambridge next week, beginning on Tuesday, December 26. The meetings will be open to all those interested.
The schedule will start on Tuesday afternoon, December 26, with a council meeting of the American Mathematical Society at 4 o'clock in Phillips Brooks House in the evening, at 8.30 o'clock, there will be a general session of section A of the American Association of Advanced Sciences in the Walker Memorial Building at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The only meeting that will take place on Wednesday morning, December 27, will be that of the American Mathematical Society at 9.30 o'clock in Harvard 1. In the afternoon a joint session of the Mathematical Association of America, the American Mathematical Society, and Section A of the American Association of Advanced Sciences will be held at 2 o'clock in Room 2-190, Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Next will come the Council Meeting of the American Mathematical Association in Phillips Brooks House at 9.00 o'clock Thursday morning, December 28, followed by a session of the same society in Harvard 1 at 10 o'clock. In the afternoon the three organizations will hold another joint session at 2 o'clock in Harvard 1. At 4.30 o'clock the Outgoing Board of Trustees of the Mathematical Association of America will meet at the Union. On Thursday evening at 6.30 o'clock the three organizations will have a joint dinner at the Walker Memorial Building. On Friday morning, December 29, at 9.30 o'clock, the Mathematics Association of America will meet at Harvard 1, continuing the meeting in the afternoon at 2 o'clock. The last meeting of the convention will be that of the Incoming Board of Trustees of the Mathematical Association of America at 4.30 o'clock on Friday afternoon at the Union.
