CAPT. E. H. LANE '24 WINNER IN FIRST FENCING TOURNAMENTS

Series Held to Determine Personnel of University Team--Intercollegiate Season Begins February 1

Capt. E. H. Lane '24 has been returned winner in the first of a series of eight fencing tournaments to determine the personnel of the University team. E. L. Lane '24 finished a close second, losing only to his brother, while J. K. Watson '23 and C. J. Shearn '23, veteran members of the dueling swords team, ranked next.

All men entered in the tournament made extremely good showings, auguring well for the intercollegiate season which begins February 1.
