Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
The Athletic Association announced last night the appointment of Mr. Thomas Joseph Campbell '12 to the position of Assistant Graduate Treasurer of the H. A. A., succeeding Mr. W. J. Bingham '16, who resigned from that office on December first to go into business after having held the position for two years.
Mr. Campbell will assume his duties on or about the first of January. During the spring months he will assist in the coaching of the spring football squad. It is also possible that he will be on the coaching squad of the second University and Freshman baseball teams. In the fall, he will again be coach of the Freshman football team, a position which he held in the autumn of 1921.
Mr.Campbell, who graduated from the University in 1912, played halfback on the University football teams of 1910 and 1911. He also played in the outfield of the second University baseball team while in college.
Since graduation, he has had varied experience as a football and baseball coach. In the year 1912-1913, he was coach of all branches of athlctics at the Morristown School, Morristown, New Jersey. From this work, he returned to the University and in 1913 and 1914 was an assistant coach under Mr. Percy D. Haughton '99, then head coach of the University football team. The next year he acted as head coach of football at Bowdoin, and in 1916 and 1919, he was at the University of North Carolina as head Coach. In the autumn of 1921 he returned to Cambridge to take charge of the Freshamn football team. This fall he has been head coach at the University of Virginia.
