The University hockey team will open its season tonight when it faces Boston University at the Arena at 8.15 o'clock. As a result of two weeks' intensive practice work Coach Claflin will be able to put a greatly improved combination on the ice with Captain George Owen Jr.'23 and W.E.Crosby Jr.'24 again filling the defense positions, and with last year's veteran offense men, Joseph Larocque '23 and G.G.Walker '24 starting at the wings.

Two new men will fill the center and goal positions, E.M.Beals '25 and J.G.Flint '23. Coach Claflin will also have several men who have been showing up well in recent practices for substitution, including F.S.Hill '24, G.C.Guild '23, Nelson Cabot '23 and Chandler Bigelow '25.

The B.U. Players will start the contest somewhat handicapped by a lack of team work, due to the fact that this is the first year that their university has taken part in intercollegiate hockey. Coach O'Hare's line-up has not been definitely settled, but a tentative first combination including several veteran players, such as A.J.Provost and C. M.Kontoff, will probably start.
