PRELIMINARY DEBATES SCHEDULED FOR NEXT MONDAY

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

After consultation between the judges who presided at the preliminaries for the interclass debate, and the captains of the class teams the personnel of the four teams has been decided upon. The teams are as follows:

Senior Team

L. B. Young, Captain.

R. H. Cresman.

S. J. Feltenstein.

Junior Team

W. T. Howe, Captain.

I. J. Bieser.

M. S. Silbert.

Sophomore Team

G. E. Barton, Captain.

E. H. Smith.

B. G> Beckhoffer.

Freshman Team

W. S. Stone, Captain.

H. C. Davidson.

H. M. Hart.

The decisions as to who should constitute the teams were made with considerable difficulty, especially in the case of the Freshmen, on account of the abundance of exceptionally good material from which to choose.

The subject for the coming debates has been decided upon and is: Resolved: That Harvard should limit intercollegiate football to one annual contest with Yale, supplementing it with the Oxford intramural system".

Preliminary Debates Nov. 13

The preliminary debates will take place next Monday evening, November 13, at 1.30 o'clock. The schedule follows:

Freshmen, affirmative, vs. Sophomores, negative, Smith Halls Common Room.

Juniors, negative, vs. Seniors, affirmative, Harvard 6.

The winning teams will meet in the Finals on Monday, November 20. The team winning this debate becomes champion of the College and its members will be presented with bronze medals by the Harvard Debating Council, by which the interclass series is managed.
