SOCCER ELEVEN FACES STRONG CORNELL TEAM IN FIRST LEAGUE GAME

DEFEATED PRINCETON 1-0 AND TIED HAVERFORD 0-0

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Hampered by injuries to several of its men, the University Soccer team faces Cornell this afternoon on Soldiers Field at 3 o'clock in the first league game of the season. Lamont has sustained several bad knocks, but will probably play a part of the game at least, and Byington, with a sprained ligament, will hardly be fit for this afternoon. Despite the shake-up which was given the team early this week, the positions of the men remain the same as in the game with M. I. T. last Friday.

The Cornell Soccer team has achieved remarkable success thus far this season, having defeated three teams and tied with a fourth. Haverford was held to a 0-0 tie and Princeton defeated 1-0. Three veterans, Captain Smith, Righter, and Thompson, remain from last year and there has been a wealth of new material to fill the vacant places.

The line-up will probably be: HARVARD  CORNELL Pallo, g.  g., Stone Hartley, r.f.b.  l.f.b., Wright Greenidge, l.f.b.  r.f.b., Woolf Begg, r.h.b.  l.h.b., Wickham Wale, c.h.b.  c.h.b., Thompson Sullivan, Pattison, l.h.b.  r.h.b., Huinick Rosen, Byington, o.r.  o.l., Cook Dorman, Pringle, i.r.  i.l., Crabtree Heizer (Captain), c.f.  c.f., Meyer Lamont, Mersereau, i.l.  i.r., Smith (Captain) Tuttle, o.l.  o.r., Righter
