INFORMAL BASKEBALL TO START FOR FRESHMEN

First Year Men May Sign Up Next Week at Wadsworth House--S. B. Chase 2L. Appointed Yearling Coach

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

All Freshmen interested in basketball, who are not now engaged in any fall sport, may sign up at Wadsworth House next week for informal basketball practice. This will be held in the Freshman gymnasium and will be under the supervision of S. B. Chase-2L., who will coach the Freshman basketball team this winter.

The hours of practice will be from 5 until 6 on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and from 4 until 6 on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Coach Edward Wachter of the University quintet will work in conjunction with Mr. Chase until candidates for the University team are called out at the end of the month.

This informal practice will continue until the regular Freshman basketball starts. After that dormitory teams will be formed, made up of the men who report next week and the players dropped from the yearling first squad. The dormitory quintets will practice on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons, and men playing on these teams will satisfy the exercise requirements of the Physical Training Department.
