The Right Reverend Logan Herbert Roots, D.D. '91, Bishop of Hankow, China, will deliver the third and last of his series of lectures on "The Present Situation in China" at 4 o'clock this-afternoon in Reed Hall of the Episcopal Theological School, Brattle street.
In his first lecture on Monday, Bishop Roots traced the history and traditions of China to the present time, sketching the three revolutions that are going on at the present time. On Wednesday the Bishop related the beginnings of Christianity in China and its growth to its present influential position. Today he will treat of present problems in the far eastern republic and the outlook for the future.
Wednesday night Bishop Roots addressed members of the St. Paul's Society in Phillips Brooks House on "The Christian Movement in China". He traced the four great movements which led to the establishment of the "Chinese Church", which now comprises 400,000 members and is a great power for good in the Chinese Republic.
