FIRST STRING LINE TO OPPOSE BROWN

Brown Has Experienced Men--Out-rushed Yale--Defeated by Spectacular Runs--Defeated Crimson Only Twice

At the conclusion of yesterday's practice Coach Fisher announced definitely the University line-up for tomorrow's game with the experienced Brown eleven. Spalding will pilot the team with Coburn, Churchill, and Hammond completing the backfield. The same line will start the game as opened the Princeton contest last week with the exception of Clark, who will be replaced by Kernan. Jenkins and Holder will be on the left and right wing respectively, Eastman and Dunker at tackle, Grew and C. J. Hubbard at guard.

The practice yesterday was confined to dummy scrimmage work with Coach Knox's team putting on Brown plays against the Crimson eleven. Later teams A and B met in a dummy scrimmage which consisted mostly of punting. Spalding, playing for the first time since his injury in the Princeton contest, showed up well in the receiving of punts and making interference for the runner.

Coach Fisher hopes to send in many substitutes tomorrow. Lee will relieve Spalding during the first part of the game. Fitts and Rouillard will be the backfield substitutes while in the line Hartley and Gordon will replace Jenkins and Holder, and Kunhardt will be used at guard.

The Brown team offers one of the greatest threats the University has been called upon to face this year. Against Yale, which won almost entirely as a result of three spectacular runs by Neidlinger who covered 137 yards, the Providence team showed an excellent variety of hidden ball plays which enabled them to outrush the Elis badly.

Since that time Coach Robinson has been pointing all his work toward tomorrow's struggle with the hope of gaining a victory over the Crimson. Of the 19 games played, Brown has succeeded, in defeating the University only twice, the last time in 1918.
