BROOKS HOUSE BEGINS ANNUAL CLOTHING DRIVE

The annual drive for old clothing was begun by Phillips Brooks House yesterday under the leadership of Belden Wiggesworth '23, Head Collector.

Articles collected in this drive will be sorted by the officials of Phillips Brooks House and distributed, as in past years, to the Cambridge Welfare Union, Robert College of Constantionaple, the Salvation Army, the Morgan Memorial, and other worthy charitable organizations. The demand this year for clothing continues to be heavy, unemployment in this country and the general disorders in the Near East accentuating the need of help. Overcoats and shoes are particularly desired.

In addition to wearing apparel, the Phillips Brooks House is collecting magazines and current text books. The former will be distributed to hospitals and families in and about Cambridge, while the latter will be added to the Phillips Brooks House Loan Library.
