NEW COURTS ON SOLDIERS FIELD

17 Courts Started Inside New Track--Ready by This Spring

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Seventeen new tennis courts are in process of construction inside the oval of the new track on Soldiers Field. The ground has already been opened and pipes laid for drainage, but cinders are scarce at present in Cambridge and the plans cannot be carried out till more of these are secured to make a thick enough foundation for the top layer of clay. If things go as expected the courts will be completed in time for use this coming spring.

This new addition will make a grand total of 33 tennis courts on Soldiers Field and will increase greatly the facilities for those in the University who wish to play tennis.
