FRESHMAN SEASON OPENS AGAINST WORCESTER ON SOLDIERS FIELD TODAY

YEARLINGS WILL BE VISITORS' FIRST OPPONENTS

The Freshman football squad held its last practice yesterday before the first game of the season with Worcester Academy on Soldiers Field at 3 o'clock today. The squad had only light dummy scrimmage yesterday afternoon in preparation for the game. In addition to this light work there was considerable practice at kick-offs and forward passes.

Although Worcester Academy has played no games this year, so that there is no definite information about the way in which the team will perform, it is anticipated that the Freshmen will have to put up a good fight if they wish to come off victorious.

Last year the 1925 team defeated Worcester Academy by the score of 7-0. In this game the Freshmen showed marked superiority to the Academy players; at the only time that Worcester threatened to score, the Freshmen held their opponents for downs on the five yard line.

Coach W. B. Snow '18 has his players in good condition and announced that the following men will start the game. Harvard 1926: P. Sanchez  Left end Potter  Left tackle C. H. Bradford  Left guard Adie  Center Wheelock  Right guard Hoague  Right tackle Grannis  Right end McGlone  Quarterback J. A. Reed  Left halfback LaTulippe  Right halfback M. A. Cheek  Fullback
