A stiff scrimmage, the first of the year, was the work prescribed for the University soccer squad in its second day of practice yesterday.

Two teams, A and B, worked out under the supervision of Mr. W. R. Welch. The forward line of team A was composed of Harry Eldridge '24, l.o.f., a substitute last year; Corliss Lamont '24, l.i.f.; Captain R. W. Heizer '23, c.f.; and A. J. Byington '24, r.o.f., all letter men and veterans from last year's team, and W. B. Pringle Jr. '25, r.i.f., a member of the 1925 Freshman team. In order to give stiff competition to the first University team, three letter men, H. L. Hartley '23, R. M. C. Greenidge 3E.S., and J. M. Begg '24, played in the backfield for team B. Team A was victor in the scrimmage 2-0, Lamont and Heizer each tallying.
