Fifty-Five Candidates for University and Freshman Squads in Initial Work-Out--More Manager Candidates Wanted

Thirty-five candidates reported at Soldiers Field yesterday afternoon for the University Soccer team, and about 20 candidates for the yearling eleven. Practice, which was supervised by Mr. W. R. Welch and Mr. Samuel McLerie, president of the Boston Soccer Officials' Association, consisted of conditioning work, and kicking and dribbling. The first scrimmage of the University next week.

More Freshman and Sophomore managership candidates are wanted by the soccer management. The competition will last six weeks and each candidate will be on duty only three afternoons a week. The successful Sophomore will automatically become manager in his Senior year, while the 1926 manager will receive his numerals.
