Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
With one day left in the Phillips Brooks House drive for $5000, the committee in charge announced last night that $4000 had been collected. It will be necessary to collect $1000 today if the social service work is not to be seriously curtailed this year.
The money collected in this drive is used strictly for outside work. None of it is paid in salaries to the officers or any of the employees of Phillips Brooks House. A large part of the money goes to maintain a teacher at Robert College, Constantinople, and two University graduates representing the Mission at Beirut, Syria. A part of last year's funds was used to maintain a daily Vacation Bible School for the children of Cambridge this summer.
All these and the numerous other services that Phillips Brooks House renders to undergraduates and outsiders require an annual fund of at least $5000, which has hitherto always been attained. Those who have not been approached by solicitors are asked to leave their contributions at Brooks House between 9 and 5 today or at Room 1 of the CRIMSON between 9 and 10 tonight.
All collectors are asked to report at the CRIMSON tonight between 9 and 10.
