CERCLE TO PRESENT "LE COEUR DISPOSE"

The Cercle Francais has chosen "Le Coeur Dispose", a comedy by Croisset, for the play it will present some time in December; rehearsals will begin next Monday under the direction of Mr. Ernest Perrin.

The story of the play is that of a modern family of the French aristocracy. Helene, the youngest daughter, although very independent, is finally persuaded to become engaged to the Baron Houzier. Robert, the new family secretary, saves the family fortune, which had been endangered by a plot of the baron and a friend, and finally marries Helene against the wishes of her family.

Most of the cast has been made up but parts have not yet been assigned to all who will take part. Among those who will play are Miss Sybil Appleton, Miss Marion Vaillant, Miss Helen Scott, the Misses Berthe and Francesca Braggiotti, J. R. Robinson '25, H. C. Lodge Jr. '24, J. M. Begg '24, and Henri de Castellane '25.

In the elections held last Saturday, Hamilton Fish Potter '24, of Smithtown, N. Y., was elected president; Henry Cabot Lodge Jr. '24, of Washington, D. C., vice-president; Harry Eldridge '24, of Hempstead, N. Y., secretary; Edwin Katte Merrill '24, of Bedford Hills, N. Y., treasurer. John de Courcy '24, of Boston has been appointed manager of the production, and William Duane Jr. '23, of Boston, will have charge of the stage and properties.
