The date of the first play to be given this year by the 47 Workshop has been postponed to Wednesday and Thursday, November 1 and 2. As previously announced the play was written by Henry Fisk Carlton, and is called "Slug", a play of hobo life.
John Collier '23 will take the part of Slug. Collier will be remembered for his acting of "Beranger" last year. Effle will be played by Miss Edith Coburn Noyes, who is the head of the Edith Coburn Noyes School of Expression in Boston. She played the lead in "Makers of Light", the second production of the 47 Workshop last year, and also took the part of Echta, in "Crucible", the fourth production.
Oenslager to Do Settings
D. M. Oenslager '23, who is the art director of the Dramatic Club, will take charge of the settings. The costumes are being designed by Miss Pauline Hatfield. Miss Hatfield is chairman of costumes of the 47 Workshop. She won the Workshop competition for designs for "Pastora" last year. Miss Eleanor Dunn will have charge of properties. W. A. Pallme '24 will be stage manager, assisted by P. W. Barber 1G., the assistant stage manager of the 47 Workshop. Lighting effects will be arranged by S. R. McCandle 3A.S. The complete cast follows:
