FRESHMAN SOCCER TEAM DEFEATED BY WORCESTER

Hardy, of Visitors, Scores Lone Goal of Contest--Game Slow and Marred by Lack of Team-Play--Gray Chosen to Captain Yearlings

In a rather weakly-played game on Soldiers Field last Saturday, the Freshman Soccer team was defeated by Worcester Academy 1-0. Both sides showed a lack of team-work and need for more speed. The only goal of the game was made in the first half by Hardy of Worcester on a long shot from the center of the field.

Just before the game started Earl Gray, of Winnipeg, Canada, was elected captain of the yearlings for this year. Gray has had much soccer experience, for he played for two years on the St. John's Technical team at Winnipeg, and for several more on the St. Peter's Church team in the same city.
