The first annual Fall Tournament under the auspices of the University Golf Association will be held during the week of October 8 to 16, according to announcement made last night. The qualifying round will be played on October 8 or 9. Subsequent matches may be played at the convenience of those who qualify. The details regarding the course to be used, etc., will be announced later.
The entrance fee is $2.00. Entries may be mailed to Clark Hodder, Secretary of the Association, 18 Russell Hall, or may be left at Leavitt and Peirce's. All entries must be in by October 6.
Some very good men are expected to enter the tournament, including Robert Jones '24, R. S. Phillips '24, who won the University tournament last spring, C. L. Peirson '25, the Metropolitan Junior Champion, and Clark Hodder '25, who won several tournaments during the summer.
Plans for the proposed exhibition matches, in which Jesse Sweetser, Francis Ouimet, Jesse Gullford, Jones, and possibly Rudolph Knepper of Princeton are to play are progressing rapidly, and definite dates will be announced later.
